Job Description
- Install and configure systems such as Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and other infrastructure systems. - Install new or improve existing servers and configure servers, services, settings, storage, etc. in accordance with operational requirements in the company. - Assist in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users. - Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage. - Install new software applications, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary. - Add and maintain users on the network; assigning application access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations are within standards. - Assist in installation of workstations and peripherals on the LAN. - Maintain network equipment such as Routers, VPN gateways, Access Points, Switches, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience - 4 years’ experience with the maintenance of at least four of the following: - HP server installations - Windows Server installations - Server Virtualization - Server Peripherals - Database technologies - Active Directory and other Microsoft services - Microsoft Exchange installation and administration - Data back-up technologies A solid understanding of: - System configuration and engineering practices - System administration practices - Network and system security methods - Expert in Routing & Switching (CCNP R&S) - Familiar with VoIP concepts
