Senior Sortation Center Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced senior sortation center manager to join our team and lead strategic initiatives for optimizing sorting center operations and fleet utilization. In this role, you will develop high-level process strategies, analyze operational data to generate KPI reports, and design cost-effective, continuous improvement projects—while collaborating with senior leadership, motivating cross-functional teams, and managing supplier negotiations to enhance overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Planning & Strategy:

• Develop high-level sorting center strategies to optimize processes.
• Collaborate with senior management to integrate logistics processes.
• Analyze market trends and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.

Management & Supervision:

• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage human resources at a senior level, including workforce planning and team motivation.
• Assess and optimize operational costs to enhance profitability.

Continuous Improvement & Development:

• Implement innovative solutions for sorting and distribution process optimization.
• Identify operational weaknesses and execute continuous improvement projects.
• Propose and implement training and development programs for employees.

Communication & Coordination:

• Establish effective communication with operational, engineering, and HR departments.
• Manage negotiations and contracts with logistics suppliers and contractors.
• Engage with key customers to understand their needs and enhance their experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Strategic logistics and supply chain management.
• Optimization of operational processes and cost reduction.
• Advanced operational data analysis and trend forecasting.
• Systemic thinking and a macro-level perspective on operational processes.
• Ability to lead and inspire large teams.
• Decision-making in complex and high-pressure situations.
• At least 5 to 7 years of senior management experience in logistics, distribution, and supply chain operations.
