Job Description

Wallex is a FinTech company providing a secure cryptocurrency exchange platform and digital asset payment solutions.

With a vision to become a leading global FinTech enterprise, Wallex is recognized as one of the largest cryptocurrency exchange platforms in Iran, supporting the online trading of over 130 cryptocurrencies
About the Role

Wallex is one of Iran's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, and a meaningful share of our sustainable, low-cost growth needs to come from the organic (SEO) channel. In this role you own Product SEO ; the intersection of SEO with product, engineering, and user experience.

Unlike the content-focused role, your focus is on the organic infrastructure of the product: information architecture, indexable product pages (coin price pages, conversion pages, product-oriented educational pages), technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and close collaboration with the frontend and backend teams so that organic growth emerges from the product itself.

This role is a fit for someone who speaks both the language of SEO and the language of engineering and product, and can bridge the two worlds.

Key Responsibilities

Technical SEO: Monitor and improve the site's technical health ; crawlability, indexation, URL structure, canonicals, redirect management, robots.txt and dynamic sitemaps, and handling of pagination and facet/filter pages.

Product SEO: Design and optimize product page templates at scale (programmatic SEO) ; e.g. "live price of [coin]", "convert [coin] to Toman", buy/sell guide pages for each asset ; in a way that is valuable to users while being indexable and scalable.

Core Web Vitals & performance: Partner with the frontend team to improve LCP, INP, and CLS; monitor metrics and prioritize improvements by organic impact.

Structured Data: Implement and maintain appropriate schema markup (FAQ, Breadcrumb, Product/Offer where permitted, Organization, etc.) and monitor rich results.

Collaboration with engineering & product: Translate SEO needs into clear technical tickets, participate in the design of new features from an SEO perspective (SEO by design), and review releases before launch to prevent organic regressions.

Monitoring & regression prevention: Build and maintain SEO dashboards and alerts (index drops, crawl errors, ranking drops on key pages) and respond quickly to regressions.

Keywords & information architecture: Develop the topical map in the product domain, cluster keywords, and design internal linking at scale.

Experimentation & analysis: Design and run SEO A/B tests (title/meta, internal linking, page templates) and measure their impact on organic traffic and conversion.

Requirements

3–5 years of relevant SEO experience, with a serious focus on technical/product SEO (not content alone).

Hands-on command of technical SEO: how sites are crawled and indexed, log analysis, crawl budget management, and resolving indexation issues on large sites.

Solid understanding of web and frontend architecture: CSR/SSR/SSG differences, the effect of rendering on SEO, and the ability to hold technical conversations with developers.

Experience with core tools: Google Search Console, Screaming Frog (or similar), Google Analytics (GA4), and at least one of Ahrefs / Semrush / Sitebulb.

Familiarity with HTML/CSS and a basic understanding of JavaScript sufficient to grasp its SEO impact.

Ability to read data and work with Excel/Google Sheets; SQL or familiarity with data analysis tools is a strong plus.

Experience with programmatic / scaled SEO on sites with a large number of pages.

A data-driven mindset, high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize by business impact.

Nice to Have

SEO experience in fintech, crypto, or YMYL (Your Money Your Life) domains.

Familiarity with Next.js or modern rendering frameworks.

Experience with BigQuery, Looker Studio, or building SEO dashboards.

Familiarity with scripting (Python / JS) to automate SEO tasks.

Understanding of multilingual SEO requirements and hreflang.
