Job Description

Job Objective:

Conduct financial and economic analysis of oil and gas projects to assess profitability and support investment decision-making, including project finance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

*Develop financial models for oil and gas projects.
* Calculate key investment metrics, including Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), and Payback Period.
* Perform sensitivity analyses with respect to oil prices and project costs.
* Evaluate proposed field development scenarios and investment alternatives.
*Assess investment risks and identify potential financial exposures.
*Analyze oil price scenarios based on reports and forecasts issued by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
* Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate technical and economic data into project evaluations.
* Prepare economic and financial reports to support management decision-making.

Qualifications and Professional Requirements:

Required Experience

* Minimum of 8 years of experience in the economic analysis of oil and gas projects.
*Proven experience in financial modeling for field development projects.
* Familiarity with the financial structures of Integrated Petroleum Contracts (IPC) and Production Sharing Agreements (PSA).
*Experience working within Exploration and Production (E&P) companies and on IPC-related projects.
*Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Financial Planning, or a related field.

Core Competencies

*Development of Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models.
* Calculation and interpretation of NPV and IRR.
*Oil price sensitivity analysis.
* Investment risk analysis and assessment.

Software Proficiency:

*Advanced Microsoft Excel (including VBA
*Oracle Crystal Ball
* Microsoft Power BI
