We are building cloud software to ingest data from vehicles and turn it into usable analytics for risk management in commercial fleets and insurance. We aggregate dashcam video data from multiple APIs, unify the data and then analyze it using machine learning and human annotations. You must manage big data workloads and analyze a constant stream of driving videos and telematics data to produce meaningful insights on the risk posed by commercial drivers. You will be joining a team of highly qualified engineers and scientists to help shape the future of transportation. You will build an incredible product impacting the safety of everyone on the road, all the while helping build a company from the ground up by influencing its culture.

We are a small (6-8 person) and growing team and see this position as a step towards becoming a foundational piece of a rocketing startup company.

We'd like for you to come and grow to master our web software. This is the stack of software we currently run to gather and feed data to the appropriate workloads and dashboards that interface with it, you should be proficient in:

● Expert in C#, DotNetCore and Bash,

● 7+ years of REST API design, implementation and maintenance.

● Working knowledge of Python.

● Experience in building and deploying software to cloud providers such as Digital Ocean, AWS or Azure

● Experience with Apache Kafka and distributed data pipelines

● Very experienced with relational database design via Postgres

● Native to AI tools, and able to leverage the latest development

● Implement web security using third parties for authentication and authorizations

● Containerizing the applications using docker and docker compose

● Familiar with network concepts and firewalls

● Good knowledge of devops CI/CD pipelines

Location: Toronto - Remote

Working Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time (EST) 5 days a week + on-call for issues

Job type: Full Time Only (no part-time or contract work)

Visa sponsorship: After 1 year of remote service, possibility of relocation assistance to Toronto, Canada, including visa sponsorship is available.

Candidates with a valid passport to travel will be preferred at screening time. Compensation: Highly dependent on candidate’s skills and experience, determined through the interview process: 1,000 - 4,000 CAD / month
