Quality Lab Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Laboratory Specialist to support quality control activities through sampling, conducting chemical, microbiological, and physical tests, and recording results to ensure compliance of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare solutions, media, and required conditions for laboratory testing
• Perform sampling and conduct chemical, microbiological, and physical tests in accordance with procedures and instructions
• Record, document, and report test results using Microsoft Excel and Word
• Conduct preliminary analysis and interpretation of laboratory data and report findings to the relevant supervisor
• Comply with safety, hygiene, and laboratory requirements, including GLP, GHP, and food safety principles
• Collaborate effectively with other laboratory team members to implement quality control programs

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or Food Engineering

Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in food industry laboratories, preferably in the dairy industry

Technical skills:

Familiarity with food safety principles, Familiarity with GLP and GHP principles, General knowledge of laboratory testing in the food industry, especially dairy products.

Profile:

Reporting skills using Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and Word, knowledge of English, Ability to analyze and interpret data, Teamwork and effective communication skills, Time management and planning skills, Ability to work independently and under pressure, Familiarity with the 5S concept, Ability to work in a three-shift schedule
