Job Description

Main Responsibilities: • Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions. • Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors. • Create and implement inspection and testing criteria or procedures. • Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these points. • Produce reports regarding non-conformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends. • Oversee workers including supervisors, inspectors, or laboratory workers engaged in testing activities. • Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Master Degree in engineering or related field • Minimum of 3 years of quality management and/or operations leadership in a manufacturing environment • Experience using quality system tools in a similar manufacturing environment • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment and leading change events using six sigma and lean manufacturing tools and systems • Proven track record of leading, directing, and developing employees • Able to analyze and research information and determine appropriate actions • Experience working with medical and/or military customers • PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and other applicable applications • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to influence across the organization at all levels.
