Job Description
The objective of the role:
The supply chain senior specialist of project equipment who advances the supply chain activities in the project department, is responsible for sourcing and procurement of project equipment. He/She is responsible for negotiating with suppliers and vendors to acquire goods and services of the highest quality at the lowest cost and time to reduce procurement expenses and advance purchase orders (PO) from start to delivery to customers.
List of Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Evaluating and negotiating suppliers’ contracts.
- Cooperation in finalizing purchase orders.
- Coordination of logistics and delivery of goods and services to customers.
- Preparing procurement reports.
- Compliance with all related laws, regulations, and standards related to purchase.
- Reporting to: Project Managers/Supply Chain Manager.Probation period: 3 Months.
- Working hours: Saturday to Tuesday from 8 AM to 5 PM; Wednesdays from 8 AM to 4 PM.
- Travel requirements: Occasional travel within the country.
Requirements
University Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commercial Management, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering fields (having a Master’s degree in a related field is an advantage); graduates of top governmental universities, such as Tehran University, Sharif University, AmirKabir University, Shahid Beheshti University, etc. are given priority.
Nature and Length of Previous Experience:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Only people with work experience in industrial markets are considered (people with work experience in other markets such as pharmaceutical, food, etc. are NOT CONSIDERED).
- At least 4 years of experience in purchasing/logistics in EPC companies.Proven working experience managing supply chain operations.
- Demonstrated experience in executing contractual terms and conditions in conjunction with established purchasing policies.
Specialist Knowledge:
- Fluent in English.
- Fluency in German is a plus.
- Familiarity with foreign purchase ordering and contracting.
- Familiarity with international commercial law.
- Familiarity with domestic and foreign purchasing processes.
- Familiarity with order registration in SAMT (NTSW) and its regulations.
- Familiarity with foreign currency remittances and obviating foreign currency obligations.
- Familiarity with registering clearance licenses and order registration in the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with customs clearance, procedures, and requirements.
- Familiarity with INCOTERMS rules and international transportation insurance.Strong verbal and written commercial communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with domestic and foreign suppliers.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Computer skills: MS Office (esp. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
