About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead production, material, and capacity planning for our client, a growing pharmaceutical company. The role will ensure effective production planning, material availability, capacity utilization, and coordination across key functions to support timely and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Capacity Planning
Develop and monitor short-, medium-, and long-term production plans based on demand forecasts, customer orders, sales budgets, and factory capacity.
Plan and optimize capacity across production lines, equipment, workforce, production calendars, and downtime.
Identify capacity constraints and operational bottlenecks and develop appropriate solutions.
Lead MPS and MRP processes to ensure alignment between production requirements, material availability, and supply plans.

Material & Inventory Planning
Oversee planning of raw materials and packaging materials in coordination with Procurement and Warehouse teams.
Monitor inventories of raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure alignment with production plans and market demand.
Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Analyze production plan variances, identify root causes, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Manage risks related to supply, capacity, and production, and develop alternative planning scenarios when required.
Prepare management reports and dashboards and support continuous improvement of planning processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement, Engineering, Sales, and other relevant teams to ensure effective execution of production plans.
Maintain alignment between production plans, material availability, capacity, and business requirements.

Team Management
Lead, develop, and evaluate the performance of the Production Planning team.

What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Pharmacy, MBA, or a related field.
10+ years of relevant experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain, or operations management, including at least 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of MRP, MPS, capacity planning, and inventory management, with familiarity with S&OP.
Familiarity with GMP requirements and quality processes within the pharmaceutical industry.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound decision-making in resource-constrained environments.
Strong cross-functional coordination and team management skills.

Nice to Have
Familiarity with Power BI and experience designing management dashboards.
Experience in production capacity optimization and bottleneck management.
Experience in contract manufacturing or outsourced production planning.
