Product Development Manager

Job Description

1. Project Management & Delivery
-Define scope, objectives, project schedules, budgets, and Stage-Gate governance for new product development (NPD).
-Manage project risks, scope changes, and provide regular progress reports to executive leadership.
-Drive cross-functional collaboration and track deliverables and commitments across departments.
2. Application Engineering
-Translate market and customer requirements into actionable technical and operational specifications.
-Conduct comprehensive operational feasibility assessments: hub sorting capacity, line-haul capabilities, cut-off times, route optimization, and operational equipment.
-Design detailed use cases, end-to-end process flows, and exception-handling scenarios.
3. Cross-Functional Interface & Workstream Management
-Logistics Design Workstream: Define operating models, network topologies, delivery SLAs, and cost-to-serve models.
-Digital & Software Workstream: Document business and technical requirements, prioritize -product backlogs, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
-Marketing & Positioning Workstream: Contribute to value proposition design, customer segmentation, pricing strategies, and go-to-market messaging.
-Operations Execution Workstream: Define execution teams, supervise pilot deployment, and -identify operational bottlenecks prior to full-scale rollout.
-Sales & Customer Support Workstream: Develop operational training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure channel readiness before launch.
4. Pilot Execution, Roll-out & Go-Live
-Design pilot programs: territory and customer selection, success metrics, trial duration, and contingency/exit plans.
-Monitor performance metrics during pilots, capture on-the-ground feedback, and drive rapid iterative improvements.
-Develop rollout and scaling roadmaps while managing organizational change across operations.
-Oversee Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR) and ensure seamless post-launch hypercare and
support.

Requirements :
-Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
-Experience: 5 to 8 years of proven experience in Project Management or Product Management within the logistics, courier, parcel, or express delivery sectors (demonstrated experience in launching new services or pilot programs is strongly preferred).
-Strong command of project management methodologies (PMP or equivalent, Agile/Scrum, and Stage-Gate frameworks).
-In-depth understanding of courier/express operations: sorting hubs, line-haul, middle-mile, and first-mile/last-mile pickup and delivery.
-High technical competence in understanding software systems, business process modeling, and IT requirements.
-Proven ability to analyze operational data, build cost models, and make data-driven decisions.
-Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills across diverse organizational levels.
