•Main Objective:
The buyer is the Procurement Representative on-site. The Buyer ensures that the customer orders are captured and shared with the Category Teams. He is acting as a first escalation point for local supplier issues.
•Main Responsibilities
-Build effective local stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high service level in terms of quotations and lead-times
-Manage the relationship with internal customers - partner with internal customers to positively influence spending decisions, to analyses
-Manage vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance
-Execute Purchase Orders including full tracking up to delivery on site
-Ensure flawless procurement procedures on site - working with the relevant individuals to make improvements where required
-Identify savings opportunities and partner with Category Managers to deliver savings through tenders/negotiations/contract renewals
-Support to negotiations, contracts implementation and maintenance, incl. supplier performance metrics
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ minimum professional experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts Management or equivalent role
-Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), and commercial mindset
-Bias for action and result driven mindset
-Any additional sourcing and/or purchasing competencies would be advantageous
-Ability to identify issues, develop solutions & drive results
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-Contract and Price negotiation experience is advantageous
