
Job Description
*Job Purpose
Responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable management of the day-to-day operations of the grain terminal, including unloading vessels, transfers, storage and shipment to trucks or rail lines.
While leading a multidisciplinary team, he ensures full compliance with safety, quality and operation (HSE) standards.
*Key Accountabilities
- Supervising the daily activities of the terminal including: ship unloading, grain transfer, loading/unloading of silos and sending to trucks or rail lines.
- Coordination of shift operations to achieve maximum operational capacity with minimal downtime
- Monitoring and controlling the overall equipment effectiveness index (OEE), identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvement programs
- Ensuring smooth coordination with maintenance, quality control, logistics and planning units
- Checking the readiness and performance of critical equipment such as ship unloaders, conveyors, elevators, silos and weighing stations
- Confirming and monitoring the implementation of daily operational plans in coordination with the ship arrival schedule and shipping priorities
- Support capital projects (CAPEX) and performance improvement plans
- Guiding, training and motivating the operational team of the site, including operators, supervisors, forklift drivers and other employees
- Supervision of work discipline, attendance and compliance with the company's code of conduct
- Development of team competencies in line with terminal operating instructions (SOP) and safety standards
- Ensuring the implementation of Permit-to-Work, Lockout and Tagout (LOTO), and emergency response procedures
- Coordinating with the HSE team to conduct audits, safety maneuvers and accident investigations
- Ensuring periodic inspections and proper cleaning of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Reporting and tracking all maintenance issues through maintenance management system (CMMS) or standard reporting systems
- Support maintenance and engineering teams in scheduling preventive maintenance and initiatives to increase equipment reliability
- Ensuring the maintenance of product quality in grain handling operations, reducing waste and preventing pollution
- Coordinating with the Quality Assurance Unit (QA) to perform disinfection, humidity testing and pest control
- Daily monitoring of silo inventory and matching physical inventory with ERP system data
- Providing daily and weekly operation reports including evacuation rate, stop times, accidents and manpower utilization
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPI) such as unloading rate (tons per hour), equipment availability, safety compliance and product waste rate
- Support the operations manager in preparing monthly reports of terminal performance
*Qualifications, Experience & Skills
-Education: Bachelor's degree in one of the fields of mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering

Work Experience: At least 7 to 10 years of experience in bulk/grain terminals, port logistics or large industrial units
