About the team: Datacenter team is committed to providing an up-to-date technology infrastructure that is resilient and delivers the performance necessary to meet the demands of a growing Snapp. We are responsible to ensure all servers and services are secure, operational, and highly available. We identify failures and problems in the network, servers, firewalls, etc. because data centers run 24 hours per day, and we may need to work evenings and weekends. We may also need to be on call to work when technical problems occur. About the role: As a Junior Network Security Engineer in Snapp, you will be working on making network establishes, managing and administering the security policy and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place, taking care of backups, monitoring security events and logs, providing technical support, troubleshooting problems, and resolving issues for clients. Responsibilities: ● Effectively utilizing simple lab setups to recreate and solve problems. ● Assisting to handle routine technical support problems—from simple application or network configuration fixes to more complex troubleshooting and problem resolution. ● Assisting with vulnerability scanning. ● Performing the operational establishment and preventive maintenance of backups, recovery procedures, and enforcing security and integrity controls. ● Participating in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. ● Preparing and maintaining documentation, policies, and instructions, and recording and detailing operational procedures and network/security logs. ● Continually surveying the current data center to determine future network needs and making recommendations for enhancements in the implementation of future servers and networks. ● Preparing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols. ● Writing comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications: ● At least 2 years of experience in Information Security Networking. ● Basic understanding of TCP/IP network OSI mode. ● Basic understanding of routing protocols (Static and Dynamic). ● Familiar with security network devices (NGFWs). ● Familiar with remote access and site-to-site technologies (SSL VPN and IPSEC). ● Ability to create, update, and organize technical documentation. ● Ability to diagram network topologies. ● Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others. Preferred Qualifications (optional): ● Familiarity with Linux. ● Familiarity with Shell scripting (Python is an advantage). ● Familiarity with Automation tools.
