Job Description

- Responsible for material compatibility with service (Fluid/environment) and fitness for purpose for the design life of the units, including consideration of corrosion, mechanical properties, inspection, availability and cost. - Corrosion analysis and testing in support of materials selection and problem resolution - Failure analysis of materials used in primarily fixed equipment - Provide consultation in the areas of materials selection, metallurgical engineering, equipment design, project support, fabrication and repair assistance, welding failure analysis, corrosion evaluations, equipment inspection, condition assessment, and technical training programs. - Ability to adapt different materials to immediate problems, and familiarity with allied mechanics and fitness-for-service techniques. Requirements

Educational Qualifications: • BS or MS in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering. • Candidates with an equivalent degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering who have demonstrated materials engineering proficiency and who meet the remaining skills/experience requirements will also be considered. Other Requirement: 8 years experience in corrosion evaluation, analysis and calculation as well as material selection, preferably in oil, gas and petrochemical industry.
