Job Description

Responsible for infusing a consumer-centric outlook into the marketing team and the organization at large by orchestrating market studies, analyzing diverse data sources, and formulating actionable, performance-driven insights. This role encompasses overseeing and managing a spectrum of market research studies, including both outsourced projects and internal initiatives, as well as extracting pertinent information from diverse datasets to craft insightful reports on company and competitor performance.

Areas of Responsibility:

Assess research and analytics requirements in alignment with strategic objectives and market opportunities. Subsequently, spearhead the initiation and oversight of research projects in collaboration with research agencies, managing all aspects from inception to completion. This entails identifying and selecting reputable agencies, maintaining diligent control over project progression and quality assurance, and ensuring the delivery and documentation of outcomes meet expected standards. Additionally, proficiently manage budgets and diversify the roster of dependable research suppliers.
Oversee ongoing continuous tracking studies such as retail audit, consumer tracker, NDP, tracking study, etc. Implement diverse quality control methodologies to enhance data accuracy and quality. Continuously engage with agencies to encourage the adaptation of optimal approaches and quality control methodologies.
Analyze data and trends to uncover new insights and correlations, serving as a foundation for forecasting future trends and conducting predictive analytics. Additionally, participate in portfolio planning exercises and annual/strategic planning activities as necessary and as directed.
Engage actively in marketing and sales-related initiatives, providing support to colleagues across various functions and teams on inquiries and projects concerning market dynamics and strategic insights.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Work Experience and Competencies:

  • At least 3 years of working experience in market research and the strategic insights function.

Languages and Computer Skills:

  • Full command of English.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis in MS Excel and reporting in MS PowerPoint.

Functional Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills (data analysis, statistics, and forecasting) with strengths in interpretation and communication of the learnings.
  • Hands-on experience in both quantitative and qualitative market research and techniques.
  • Spirit of teamwork and flexibility to cooperate in a multinational environment.
  • Experience in documentation and presentation of research projects.
