Job Description
Major tasks and responsibilities of position:
• Logistics planning: Develop and implement efficient logistics plans for the storage, handling, and distribution of goods, taking into account transport modes, lead times, and regulatory requirements.
• Delivery scheduling and tracking: Coordinate delivery schedules and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
• Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, production, finance and warehouse teams, to address logistical challenges and optimize the order delivery process.
• Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within the logistics function, implementing changes to enhance delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivery locations and distances: A larger number of delivery locations and longer distances can present challenges in planning efficient routes, managing carrier selection, and monitoring shipments.
• Transport modes and trucks: The variety of Transport modes and trucks types and carriers used for deliveries adds complexity to logistics management and requires expertise in selecting the most appropriate options for specific shipments.
• Order customization and special handling requirements: Unique customer needs, such as special packaging, labeling, or delivery instructions, can add complexity to the logistics process and require tailored solutions.
• Loading capacity and planning: Plan, acquire and manage loading of 75 trucks per day
Experience:
1- 3 years of experience in logistics and distribution
