Java Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Java Developer to join Viuna ICT, a knowledge-based software company, and play an active role in designing, developing, and improving backend services within a modern, modular architecture.

At Viuna, we work on real-world enterprise systems and scalable software solutions. This role is not limited to implementing predefined tasks; you will also have the opportunity to contribute to technical decisions, system design, and continuous improvement of the architecture and products.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Develop and implement REST APIs and communication services between modules
Contribute to the design and development of modular and microservices-based architectures
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into reliable technical solutions
Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability
Troubleshoot issues, reduce technical debt, and improve code quality
Participate in code reviews and technical decision-making
Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality results independently
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Java
Hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot
Practical experience in designing and developing REST APIs
Experience with Git
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases; experience with Oracle is a plus
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work independently within a team and follow established architecture and engineering practices
Nice to Have

Experience with any of the following will be considered a plus:

Spring Ecosystem, especially Spring Security and Spring Gateway
Microservices architecture and modular systems
gRPC and inter-service communication
Redis and in-memory data stores
Docker and containerization
CI/CD concepts and deployment practices
Backend performance optimization
