POSITION SUMMARY
To ensure smooth end to end importation is happening by being expert on rules and regulation, aware of importation channels, challenges, supervision on transportation and custom formalities to ensure on time supply, cost management, and compliance are follow. in addition to motivate and coach the team to achieve meet the result.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

Managing external stockholders:
• Conduct Service providers/3Dparties performance evaluation on a monthly basis.
• Communicate and collaborate regularly and consistently with the authorities to foresee future challenges as well as address day to day issues to protect company interest.
• Consult with customs agents to ease passage of shipments through customs.

Compliance:
• Check and update the tariff codes and customs duty of imported goods and counsel clients on that matters especially in case of any changes.
• Monitor and share relevant Import laws and procedures, licensees and restrictions with the stakeholders
• Manage fulfilment of exceptional released orders

Contribute to improving working capital and OPEX saving through efficient clearance process and cost saving initiatives:
• Monitor all logistics aspects of import operation with close contact with factory logistics team, HO logistic officer as well as NME transport team to ensure on time arrival of the shipments as well as controlling demurrage cost
• Search for possibilities to reduce taxes, duties, damages and cost of operation
• Constantly review the E2E of the importation process, challenge the common practices, identify and close the gaps and improve process's efficiencies
• Attend to the relevant projects meetings; Add necessary activities to their Gantt Chart; Follow the steps and respect the timeline to ensure contributing to the on time launch of the projects.
• Minimize the clearance leadtime and manage to make them sustainable to ensure efficiency and product availability

• Promote teamwork and increase engagement among the team to meet the function’s targets
• Increase team's awareness and knowledge of coaching
• Delegate work load to have it completed with both quality and efficiency in mind.

• Experience of import, rules and regulations and treasury process.
• Decision making, crisis & priority management, Problem solving, Presentation skill, Negotiation skill.
• Experience of team lead (direct & indirect).

Good-to-haves:
• Experience of working in FMCG or Food grade materials.
• Familiar with ERP
• Excellent in Excel
