Job Description
The objective of the role:
The ICT Engineer is a member of the engineering team in the engineering department, who is responsible for producing technical documents (detailing how the systems operate) and preparing technical and financial proposals for IT systems and communication systems of the relevant projects under the direction of the Technical/Tender manager. The engineering documents he/she produces may include software and hardware installation and test instructions, drawings, detailed designs and etc.
List of responsibilities:
- Produce technical documents i.e. detailed designs, drawings, reports, and tests. procedures, installation procedures and etc.
- Design and propose technical solutions for tenders and inquiries.
- Attend client meetings and assist with the determination of project requirements.
- Attend site meetings to handle site technical issues.
- Report to: Technical/Bid Manager.
- Probation period: 3 Months.
- Working hours: Saturday to Tuesday from 8 am to 5 pm; Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm.
- Travel requirements: Occasional travel within the country.
Requirements
University Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, and Control Engineering from top government universities such as the University of Tehran, Sharif University of Tehran, Amirkabir University of Tehran, Shahid Beheshti University, etc.
Nature and length of previous experience:
- Fresh graduates with high GPAs from top government universities without work experience.
- At least 2 years of related experience in industrial ICT projects, Industrial Telecommunication projects, or Oil and Gas/Telecommunication projects is a plus.
- Experience in producing technical documents is a plus.
Specialized knowledge:
- Deep knowledge of IT concepts.
- Thorough understanding and/or hands-on experience of all or some of the below systems is preferred: CCTV, PA/GA, VHF/UHF/UHF Tetra Radio, Telephone (PABX), LAN/WAN, SDH, NDB, RACON, Fiber optics access networks, Navigational and Meteorological systems, Wireless communication systems and etc.
- Computer skills: MS Office (esp. Word and Excel), AutoCAD.
- Good at English.
- Familiarity with EPC projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with project documentation is a plus.
