Job Description
*Mission:
To provide support to high-level management on financial decisions using financial metrics obtained from models that are driven by research findings, macroeconomic and competitive assumptions, and benchmarks.
*Responsibilities:
- Liaise with network, sales and distribution, and finance to coordinate the marketing objectives versus demand planning.
- Support the development of home business (FTTx/WTTx) products and services using robust financial forecasting plans and methodology.
- To do post-mortem analysis and monitor the performance of MTNIrancell offers and marketing campaigns and revise offers/campaigns if needed.
- Monitor and analyze price changes in the market and define pricing plans to improve or keep the service/product position in the market.
- Ensure relevant business rules are applied in products and services financial analysis and forecasting scenarios.
- Produce and maintain a detailed listing of all drivers and assumptions for the products; financial assessments from gross revenue to margin.
- Conduct actual versus financial forecast assumptions and take into account product performance after promotion to modify the financial model assumptions based on actual data.
- Build a source of data for each assumption (revenue/costs) for reporting and projection purposes.
- Coordinate the financial assessment assumptions (revenue and costs) with the business and owner teams to ensure assumptions are near reality.
- Support the business planning process in financial modeling affairs, concerning providing assumption models for each product.
- Coordinate gathering relevant internal and external data, including research that ensures robust financial analysis.
- Complete and present business cases and other financial analyses for approval by the management.
- Support the development of a tariff/pricing strategy on all commercial/retail tariffs.
- Support research efforts to obtain best practices in tariff planning and strategy in the world.
- Support product development efforts from inception to launch and forecast for the ITS/NWG in financial aspects.
- Liaise with departments within Marketing and MTNIrancell on the feasibility of any new or modified product or promotion and or activity that requires a financial assessment, to fully understand the impact on MTNIrancell business plan.
- Provide support in the development of the annual MKT budget and monthly forecast figures.
*Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Economics /Mathematics/Financial Management- Engineering /Business Administration
- Master degree in management/MBA is added advantages
*Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization
- Experience working in a medium organization
- At least two years’ work experience in a role utilizing research data and financial modeling to guide key business decisions
