Summary:

The E-commerce Health & Beauty Category Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end commercial performance of the Health & Beauty category within the online channel. This role focuses on driving sales, margin, and availability by managing assortment, supplier partnerships, pricing, and promotional execution.

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end category performance, including sales, margin, availability, and conversion.

• Develop and maintain the category assortment, identifying gaps, new trends, and opportunities for growth.

• Coordinate with suppliers and brands, negotiating pricing, promotions, and visibility plans.

• Execute pricing and promotional strategies, ensuring competitive positioning and strong commercial performance.

• Monitor stock levels and availability, working with supply chain to reduce out-of-stocks and improve forecast accuracy.

• Ensure high-quality product content, including descriptions, images, attributes, and SEO optimization.

• Drive digital merchandising, ensuring optimal sorting, categorization, and on-site visibility for key products.

• Analyze category data, including traffic, conversion, sales, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify actions.

• Support marketing campaigns by preparing promotional product lists, hero SKUs, bundles, and tactical activations.

• Manage daily operations, including price updates, listing accuracy, new product onboarding, and promotional readiness.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, content, finance, operations, and product teams to execute category plans.

• Ensure regulatory compliance for all category items, especially in beauty, wellness, and OTC-related products.

• Prepare performance reports and present insights, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.

 

Skills:

• Commercial & Category Expertise

Strong understanding of Health & Beauty products, trends, and consumer behavior.

Knowledge of category management principles: assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and lifecycle management.

Ability to drive sales growth, margin optimization, and competitive positioning.

• Digital & E-Commerce Skills

Understanding of online merchandising, PDP optimization, SEO, and on-site sorting/visibility.

Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Hybris, or equivalents).

Awareness of digital marketing levers (traffic, campaigns, loyalty integration, performance marketing).

 

Experience:

• 3–7 years of experience in e-commerce, category management, or commercial roles.

• Direct experience in Health & Beauty (beauty, personal care, wellness, FMCG, or pharma) is highly preferred.

• Proven track record of managing online category performance, including sales, margin, and conversion.

• Experience in assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and supplier/vendor management.
