What You Will Be Doing:
• Manage and oversee all import and export procedures, including PI registration, currency allocation, commercial certifications, customs-related documentation, and other required commercial processes.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with trading organizations, suppliers, and relevant authorities through regular communication and visits to identify new channels, improve procedures, and support business development.
• Coordinate and follow up on all commercial documents and import processes with the Dubai Procurement Department and ensure timely completion of all required actions.
• Plan, monitor, and control the import budget in coordination with the Sales Department, ensuring that import activities are aligned with approved budgets and business requirements.
• Monitor and expedite shipments from order placement through final delivery, coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs, and relevant internal departments to minimize delays.
• Develop, implement, and oversee procurement strategies to achieve cost-saving targets, optimize purchasing terms, and improve overall procurement efficiency.
• Manage and follow up on the complete import cycle independently, from material ordering and supplier coordination through shipment, customs clearance, and final delivery to the local warehouse in the region.
• Identify and manage commercial and supply-chain risks related to suppliers, shipments, currency allocation, customs procedures, and regional market conditions, and provide appropriate solutions.
• Prepare regular commercial reports and provide management with updates on import status, procurement costs, shipment progress, market prices, budget utilization, supplier performance, and potential commercial risks.
What We Are Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant commercial, procurement, or import/export experience, preferably in the chemical or raw materials industry.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, international trade, customs processes, commercial documentation, shipping, and customs clearance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English.
