Job Description

Extreme Walls is seeking a Chief Sales Officer to lead its sales organization and expand its dealer network in the wallpaper market. We are looking for a leader who understands how retailers sell and can use that knowledge to build a more effective sales operation. Priorities include launching new dealerships, winning and reactivating key accounts, and designing trade promotions that increase retail sales and repeat orders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop the annual sales plan and set targets for sales volume, margin, market coverage, and active accounts by region and channel.
Identify promising territories, select commercial partners, and lead dealership launches from initial negotiations through store setup, training, and sustained sales.
Identify high-potential accounts, convert negotiations into first orders, and win back key customers who have stopped buying.
Design and execute trade promotions with Marketing and measure their impact on retail sales, margins, and repeat orders.
Plan new wallpaper collection launches, train dealers and store teams, and improve how products and sample books are presented in stores.
Work with Marketing and dealers to implement brand standards at retail locations, including the design and installation of storefront signage.
Lead field sales and telesales teams, review regional performance with their managers, and follow through on actions to meet sales targets.
Work with Sales Operations to improve forecasting, territory planning, CRM use, and sales incentives.
Lead market development projects with clear ownership, deadlines, and measurable outcomes, coordinating delivery with Finance and Supply Chain.
Support export sales development by prioritizing markets and identifying commercial partners.
Experience and Qualifications
A successful track record in senior sales leadership, managing sales teams and distribution networks, with direct experience launching dealerships.
Hands-on experience designing, running, and evaluating trade promotions, with specific examples of commercial results.
An MBA or a university degree in management, industrial engineering, economics, or a related field, with the ability to combine data and market insight to make decisions.
A systematic approach to sales and the ability to turn ideas into projects, make decisions quickly, and see initiatives through to completion.
Clear, concise communication. You raise disagreements directly, agree on a course of action with colleagues, and follow through on commitments.
Willingness to spend time in the market and travel domestically. Experience implementing retail branding across a dealer network, particularly storefront signage, is an advantage.
