We are seeking a Chief Investment Officer to join our client, a company active in venture investments and R&D within the medical and pharmaceutical industry, with the capability to manage all aspects of the business and take full leadership of the enterprise. As the most senior executive, this person sets the strategy, holds full P&L ownership, and builds and runs a portfolio of venture investments and R&D initiatives from idea to value creation. This role suits a leader who combines investment judgment, R&D and commercialization insight, and operational discipline to turn ideas and capital into results.

Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the overall strategy and annual investment plan of the company.
• Full ownership of P&L, budgeting, and the performance of the company and the investment portfolio.
• Identify, evaluate, and lead venture investments, R&D initiatives, and commercialization from inception to exit or scale-up.
• Build and lead the executive team; set governance, risk, and reporting standards.
• Represent the company before shareholders, investors, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Drive value creation across portfolio companies and R&D projects.

What You Bring
• Proven executive leadership experience (MD/CEO/GM or senior investment leadership), ideally in VC, corporate venturing, investment, or R&D-driven businesses.
• Strong track record in investment evaluation, deal leadership, and portfolio/value creation.
• Solid financial and strategic acumen with full P&L ownership experience.
• Understanding of R&D, innovation, and technology commercialization.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder-management, and negotiation skills.
• Based in or willing to work on-site in Tehran.
• Good command of English for investment and partner communication.

Nice To Have
• A master's degree or higher in Financial Management, Economics, or an MBA, at minimum.
• A strong network within the venture investment and innovation ecosystem.
• Investment experience in the healthcare, life sciences, or biotech domain.
