Job Description

We at GEP are expanding our accounting team and looking to hire a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated Bookkeeper to handle daily accounting operations and financial record keeping. If you're passionate about numbers and accuracy and have hands-on experience with accounting software, this role could be a great fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record all financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and enter accounting documents (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, revenues).
  • Organize and archive financial documents properly.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and internal funds.
  • Maintain official ledgers (Journal and General Ledger) in line with Iranian accounting standards.
  • Help prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Handle VAT, tax returns, and purchase/sales reporting forms.
  • Assist during audits and tax inspections when necessary.
  • Issue and follow up on client invoices and account balances.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles and Iranian accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Hamkaran System, Peyvast).
  • Familiarity with tax regulations, insurance rules, VAT, and SSO.
  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and general office tools.
