Job Description
Karl Kolb intends to expand its business operations in Iran and is therefore looking for a talented individual with a comprehensive understanding of analytical chemistry to cover a wide spectrum of applications such as forensics, medicine, science and engineering, preferably in combination with a proven track-record in sales activities. He or she will be working closely with the Business Development and Project Manager as well as the headquarters in Dreieich, Germany. - Proactive support of the Business Development and Project Manager in establishing and maintaining business operations in Iran with the goal to increase sales and brand awareness - Provision of technical know-how during business negotiations and following requests by end-users (trouble-shooting) - Technical installations and service of laboratory and analytical equipment on end-user’s site - Assistance in the acquisition of potential new clients/contracts through the monitoring of national and international tender announcements - Organization and attendance of relevant conferences and exhibitions - Coordination and execution of necessary training for peers and clients, respectively
Requirements
- University degree in Chemical Engineering and minimum 3 years work experience in the applications and sales of laboratory and analytical equipment - Ability to carry out installations and service of laboratory and analytical equipment independently, especially in relation to Chromatography and Spectroscopy as well as other instrumental methods relevant to the field of analytical chemistry - Project management skills as well as an advanced level of Excel, Word etc. - Attention to detail, initiative and an independent working style - Native proficiency in Farsi, professional fluency in English - Understanding of national and international tender and bidding procedures and preferably experience in foreign trade and logistics - Ability to adapt to a German management style with a flat hierarchy and open channels of communication - Willingness to travel within and outside Iran
