Job Description
Our company is looking for a skilled software implementation specialist to join our team. It is a hybrid job that needs you to learn about HSE, Artificial Intelligence, and computer software. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting risk analysis, the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications, as well as providing training and support to end-users.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure software applications.
- Conduct risk assessment and risk analysis
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
- Perform system upgrades and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement software solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users.
- Develop and maintain software documentation.
- Participate in project planning and coordination.
- Develop implementation procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain organized project documentation.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Linux, active and passive networking elements, database management, software documentation, project management tools, and implementation procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or HSE.
- At least 3 years of experience in software implementation.
- Strong understanding of Linux.
- Experience with active networking elements such as switches.
- Experience with passive networking elements.
- Experience in working with DB and SQL.
- Experience in developing software documentation and training.
- Familiarity with project management tools.
- Ability to develop implementation procedures and guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Competencies:
- Familiarity with Linux: The software implementation specialist must have a strong understanding of the Linux operating system and be able to work with a command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting.
- Experience with active networking elements: The candidate should be familiar with active networking elements such as switches, routers, and firewalls, and understand how to configure and manage them.
- Experience with passive networking elements: The candidate should also have experience working with passive networking elements such as cabling, connectors, and patch panels.
- Database management: The candidate should have experience working with database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server. They should also be familiar with SQL programming language and able to write complex queries.
- Software documentation and training: The candidate should have experience in developing software documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and help files. They should also be able to provide training to end-users on how to use software applications effectively.
- Project management: The candidate should have a familiarity with project management tools, be able to maintain organized project documentation, and develop implementation procedures, and guidelines.
Please consider that the candidate has to work onsite, which is mostly in a harsh location and in several countries in the GCC region. Each project may take one month in a different country and for each month there would be 7 days of rest for returning to the main office.
