The Story Behind the Formation of Eways The official launch of Eways dates back to 2013 (1392 in the Iranian calendar), but the groundwork and planning for this path had begun years earlier. The initial concept for Eways was drafted in late 2009 (1388), and its development process began in 2011 (1390). Eways’ first platform was a registration system for customers and partners, and during 2009 and 2010, over 1,000 stores signed up. Interestingly, Eways initially started as a personal project. A while later, it was defined as one of the services under the umbrella of "Tehran Internet" company. In 2012 (1391), the project partners decided to develop it as an independent startup. This marked the founding of the core of Eways as we know it today. The version of the Eways dashboard currently in use was designed and launched in 2013 (1392). On October 24, 2013 (2nd of Aban 1392), with the registration of the first transaction, Eways was officially born—with an independent identity and ambitious goals. In its first year, Eways operated on an affiliate model. In 2014 (1393), it entered the B2B sales market. At the beginning, there were doubts about the project’s success. However, time proved that the startup was on the right path. From 2015 to 2018 (1394 to 1397), Eways focused on B2B sales in the field of top-up and internet services. But the major turning point came in 2018 (1397), when Eways launched the supply and sale of physical goods through its own store. Until then, our relationship with partners across the country had been based solely on digital services like mobile top-ups and internet packages. By adding product sales, we were able to meet more of their needs and deepen these partnerships. The implementation of the mobile phone registry plan in 2019 (1398) and efforts to combat smuggling provided an opportunity for Eways to enter the mobile phone supply and sales market more seriously. In 2020 (1399), Eways broke its own record for daily sales—an achievement that above all reflects the valuable trust our partners have placed in us. Since then, our main goal at Eways has always been to deliver the best products, in the best possible way, to the members of the ever-growing Eways family.
