Job Description
Confirm database servers are backed up and meeting Recovery Point Objectives (RPO). Document the database environment. Deploy database change scripts during software releases. Identify and troubleshoot resource intensive operations on SQL Server. Collaborate with developers and provide suggestions on how to improve database design. Review SQL scripts and make sure SQL coding standards used. Understand data warehouse design and BI expressions.
Requirements
5 + years of related experience at a professional level Strong communication skills Eagerness to work collaboratively with a team Experience installing, administering, and maintaining SQL Server. Expertise in crafting a performance tuning complex stored procedures. On-call troubleshooting experience for SQL Server. Ability to perform database maintenance tasks such as performance-tuning, partitioning, backups, indexing, job maintenance, and SQL Server version upgrades. Experience with Analysis Services, Reporting Services, or Integration Services.
