Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for handling the overall technical responsibilities of one or more Turbomachinery engineering projects, in the Oil & Gas and Power industries, including project specification, design, functionality, testing and commissioning. You will also assist sales staff and management in responding to customer enquiries, and developing system proposals and bid packages. Review and prepare project specifications to ensure the control system meets the technical requirements of the project. Ensure customer's budgetary and scheduling requirements are met, as outlined by the Project Manager. Provide engineered control solutions on projects based on project specifications, ensure the control system design meets the project specification and oversee the hardware selection/specification and development of the control system software. Responsible for the development and programming of the control system logic and the functionality of the control system; using logic drawings, control narratives and the basis of design documents to contribute to logic development; performing system testing and factory acceptance testing, and developing test documents for all projects as required. Interfacing with customers on technical details; and providing customer support on assigned projects and future project needs. Conduct customer training, customer support, commissioning and start-up activity. May be required to assist in generating system and product proposals for the Asia Pacific business unit, review specifications and assist in developing bid packages. Respond to field technical questions and enquiries from customers in a timely manner, refer customer requests to company specialists (consultants) as required and assist sales personnel with resolution of customer responses and attend bid review meetings as required by sales staff and management Develop and explore alternate sources for various 3rd party project bought outs which will be very cost effective and best quality products with good SLA for service support during commissioning & warranty period. After establishment, these sources can be taken to APAC / Global level for volume aggregation to get higher discount. Execute project in a structured way starting from procurement plan, study of items / BOM technically, offers evaluation from engineering team in line with discussion with vendors, techno- commercial discussion and then order finalization for the cost
