Senior Data Scientist

Job Description Digikala, the largest e-commerce platform in Iran, is looking for high-caliber senior datascientists to help us improve our products and deliver a world-class experience for ourcustomers. In this position, you are supposed to ● Guide complex projects from ideation and planning, to model design, todeployment and testing, and independently make decisions about the technicalapproach ● Partner with the Product Management team to drive requirements for newproducts and integrate data during product development ● Discover areas of the customer experience and business that can be impacted byusing Big Data, AI and Machine Learning ● Extract and analyze data from various sources to model customers’ behavior ● Collaborate with the Product team to create insightful metrics and dashboards tomonitor the product’s performance and make informative reports ● Describe and speak in an approachable way about complex analyses andconcepts within a cross-functional team Requirements ● MS/BS in Computer Science, Statistics or other related fields ● More than two years of experience as a data scientist (preferably in e-commerce) ● Proficiency in Python and it’s data analysis and visualization tools ● Intermediate knowledge of Software Development Techniques ● Strong knowledge of various Data Science disciplines including descriptiveanalytics, optimization, hypothesis testing, neural networks, statistic models, andmachine learning ● Deep knowledge of relational databases, big data technologies, and NoSQLdatabases ● Great ability to identify and translate business and customer needs into datascience projects ● Excellent communication and collaboration skills – experience in writing andpresenting comprehensive narratives on opportunity, objectives, goals, anddelivery plan to customers and stakeholders ● Ability to deliver data science projects from start to ends, such as ideageneration, project definition, implementation, testing, and deployment Plus ● Experience in hiring and mentorship processes for data scientist candidates● Experience in leading data science teams
