Job Description

We are seeking an NOC Engineer at the Solico Group IT Department to oversee our telecommunication networks and computer systems. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring critical network elements (such as routers, switches, servers, websites, WAN links, etc.) and provide 24/7 proactive operational monitoring of the performance and capacity of our computer systems throughout our company.

Responsibilities:

Monitor the performance and capacity of the network.
Perform regular checks on the network hardware and services.
Respond to network alerts and hardware malfunctions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot network outages.
Manage the on-call and escalation based on procedures.
Track and document network issues and compiling incident reports.
Provide monitoring-related reports.
Cooperate with other technical teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a similar field.
Extensive experience working as a NOC Engineer.
Basic experience with Network Management Systems (NMS) and monitoring applications.
Experience working with SolarWinds.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Understand routing/switching pretty well.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Strong analytical skills and ability to collate and interpret data from various sources.
Ability to work independently and accommodate various shifts in a 24/7/365 environment.
