BAT PARS IS LOOKING FOR A LEGAL SUPPORT COUNSEL FUNCTION: Legal and External Affairs (LEX) LOCATION: Alborz Province, Eshtehard Industrial City ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES This role is part of Legal Team and is responsible for managing legal matters in relation to Factory operations and assisting Senior Legal Counsel and Head of LEX in related legal areas. WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR - Providing day-to-day legal advice to various departments of factory; - Ensuring timely delivery of legal services to the company in relation to its factory operations; - Ensuring compliance with existing local legislation and internal BAT procedures - Drafting, negotiating and concluding written letters, memoranda, complex supply and service agreements and/or other documents relating to all significant commercial transactions to optimize and protect the interests of the Iran business and the wider BAT Group; - Assisting Senior Legal Counsel in advising and guiding the business to operate within the constraints of the sanctions and export restrictions in relation to factory operation; - Where necessary, coordinating and supporting the defense of any potential liability or other strategic and non-strategic litigation that may arise in relation to operation of BAT - Managing legal work with litigators and financial part of relations with litigators; - Participating in cross-functional issues and projects - Acting as Legal function’s single point of contact in Factory
