Job Description

- Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within the specific area of HSSE unit is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy. - Monitor the financial performance of the plants HSE related activities versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon. - Recommend improvements to existing departmental policies and procedures and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering the HSE unit so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. - Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the HSE systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement. - Prepare MIS statements and reports pertaining to HSE timely and accurately to meet Company and department requirements, policies and standards. - Assist in identifying potentially hazardous areas or jobs and developing, updating and revising safety procedures which will eliminate or prevent accidents. - Coordinate and support the implementation of HSE framework to ensure a safe / accident free work environment in Company. - Conduct regular safety induction sessions for new recruits, in order to educate staff on the basics of safety guidelines, rules and procedures. - Update the safety statistic sign board and safety signs, notice boards and first aid kits ensuring all is in place and in good condition in order to effectively and timely communicate all safety messages. - Continuous refreshment session for employees on the safety tool pack. - Conduct awareness sessions for managers and employees to ensure constant execution of policies. - Regularly inspect work sites, to identify unsafe conditions, as well as to provide ongoing field presence for compliance with safe working procedures and standards by reporting any non-compliance incidents on site to rectify non-conformances. - Conduct preliminary investigations of incidents occurring in company locations e.g. examining incident sites, questioning victims and witnesses, preliminary identification of possible causes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, in order to understand the broad detail of the incident. - Maintain records of all incidents related to none compliance of safety reports and training sessions conducted and follow up on the corrective actions taken in order to ensure that similar incidents do not recur. - Coordinates with government representatives with regards to providing measurement of harmful agent at work place, assessment ergonomic status of environment, examination of material prior employment, audit of health and safety problems to the Ministry of Health. - Participate in meeting with regards to HSE technical protection and forward outcomes to MOH. - Ensures positions undergo the required certifications as specified by the Government and Company. - Ensures code of practice is in place and implemented - Ensures all manufacturing related areas adhere to health standards and regulations - Conduct analysis and report on all diseases within Company identifying causes and actions to be undertaken. Reports to: Operation Director Location: Plant, Karaj but is responsible for all regions and head office.
