The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tehran is inviting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant position. The successful applicant will be expected to begin his/her work in August 2026.

2. Salary range: USD 950

Job Description

1. Administrative Tasks

- Translation and interpretation(Korean, English, Farsi)

- Drafting contracts and notes verbales, archiving documents, arranging meetings

- Other duties as assigned

2. Security Management

- Managing the Embassy's security team who are responsible for security checks, including entry and exit control, monitoring CCTVs and patrolling the premises

- Supervision and maintenance of security equipment

- Liaison with the police and relevant local authorities on security matters

3. Facility Management

- Assist in scheduling and supervising construction, repairs, maintenance, and installation projects

- Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance, resolve basic engineering problems

- Inspect and report on construction and maintenance projects

- Supervising cleaning procedures

- Managing inventory and storage

4. Procurement

- Procurement of a variety of goods and services from local sources through purchase orders and contracts

Qualifications / Selection Criteria

1. Legal status to work in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

2. Applicants with TOPIK level 5 and above will be preferred(highly considered.)

3. Proven ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision in an intercultural environment.

4. Timeliness in response to tasking and capacity to prioritize competing work demands within working hours to meet deadlines.

5. Self-motivated and self-directed learner who is open to diverse work portfolios.

6. Expert level of computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint) and web research capacity.

7. Native level of communications skills in English, including translation techniques between Persian, English, and Korean.

8. Preferred qualifications: Applicants with work experience in embassies or in Korean companies (highly preferred with a similar work portfolio (security and facilities management))

4. Additional documents

- (Required) All the references for the resume, including certificates for education, language, employment and/or any other similar documents

- (optional) Recommendation letters (letters of references) upon their discretion. An applicant who submits the letters should provide contact information of the recommenders.

- (required) Record of criminal conviction, which have been issued by the Public Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran

- (required) Drug test from the authorized medical centers.

- All documents must be accompanied by an English translation.

Note 1: Applications that lack any of the required documents stated above will be deemed ineligible for the further process. (The Embassy will consider ‘receipts’ for applying those documents as invalid.)

Note 2: Any use of AI tools will disqualify the applicant.

1. Applicants who have been selected for an assessment test and interview will be contacted no later than July, 16th, 2026. The Embassy will not make any contact with the applicants who are deemed to be ineligible for further consideration.

2. An assessment test and interview are expected to be held on July 19, 2026. All tests/interviews will be conducted in English and/or Korean, and applicants are expected to show their linguistic proficiencies and their competencies at work during the evaluation process.

3. Any application which does not meet any above-mentioned conditions will NOT be considered in any circumstances, and any descriptions for which references are not provided will be deemed invalid in the evaluation process.
