Job Description

The objective of the role:

The telecommunications engineer is a member of the engineering team in the engineering department responsible for producing technical documents for telecommunication and communication systems of the relevant projects, detailing how the systems operate, under the direction of the telecommunication technical manager. Documents he/she produces may include procedures for software and hardware installation and test, drawings, detailed designs and etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce technical documents i.e. detailed designs, drawings, reports, test procedures, installation procedures and etc.
  • Design and propose technical solutions.
  • Attend client meetings and assist with the determination of project requirements.
  • Attend site meetings to handle site technical issues.
  • Report to the telecommunication technical manager.
  • Probation period: 3 Months.
  • Working hours: Saturday to Tuesday from 8 am to 5 pm; Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm.
  • Travel requirements: Occasional within the country.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, and IT Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in industrial Telecom projects or Oil and Gas Telecom projects environment.
  • Experience in producing technical documents.

Specialist knowledge:

Thorough understanding and (or) hands-on experience of all or some of the following systems:

  • CCTV
  • PA/GA
  • VHF/UHF/UHF Tetra Radio
  • Telephone (PABX)
  • LAN and WAN
  • SDH
  • NDB
  • RACON
  • Fiber optics access networks
  • Navigational and Meteorological systems
  • Wireless communication systems and etc.
  • Fluent in MS Office, especially Word, and Excel.
  • Fluent in AutoCAD.
  • Good at English.
  • Familiarity with EPC projects is a plus.
