Structured Cabling Design Engineer Responsibilities: • Attend to general technical enquiries (RFI, RFP, RFQ) and provide technical Support • Conduct site surveys, develop cable design requirements and documentation • Analyze project needs relative to technical specifications and requests • Prepare technical proposals (LOM, LOP) in a speedy and precise manner
Requirements
• BSc. in Engineering or related fields and/or technical training • Minimum 5 years' experience, designing infrastructure cabling, Data Center experience desirable • Experience in Fiber, Copper and Telephony structured cabling and fault finding • Knowledge of Audio, Video and Security infrastructure cabling systems • Strong analytical, diagnosis and decision making skills • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Office, MS Visio • Experience in multi-vendor infrastructure cabling and connecting hardware, cabinet, rack, etc. • Conversant with relevant ISO/IEC, CENELEC, IEEE, TIA and BICSI structured cabling standards • Perform technical testing to industry best practices • Competence in modifying designs to meet customer requirements • Excellent client interfacing and communication skills • Presentable and Courteous • Fluent in English • Travel as required
