Job Description

• SHE Strategy & Deployment:
Support the deployment of the global and cluster SHE strategy, policies, and standards at the factory level.
Translate SHE objectives into site-specific action plans and support their execution.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to achieve sustainable SHE performance.
• Safety & Risk Management:
Support and conduct safety, health, and environmental risk assessments across manufacturing operations.
Assist in identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and implementing effective control measures.
Promote safe working practices and support the rollout of Behaviour-Based Safety at the site.
• Environmental Management:
Support initiatives to reduce environmental impacts, including waste (hazardous & non-hazardous), emissions (CO₂, Sox), water usage, and energy consumption.
Monitor environmental KPIs and support improvement actions in line with site targets.
• Legal Compliance & Standards:
Monitor factory compliance with local and national SHE legislation, Unilever standards, and internal procedures.
Support the maintenance of SHE documentation, permits, and records required for legal and internal compliance.
Assist in preparing for internal and external audits and inspections.
• Incident Management & Reporting:
Support incident, near-miss, and unsafe condition reporting and investigation.
Assist line management in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct trend analysis on incidents, near misses, and safety observations to identify improvement opportunities.
• Occupational Health:
Work closely with Occupational Health teams to identify and mitigate risks that could lead to occupational ill health.
Support health surveillance programs and awareness initiatives at the site.
• Audits, Training & Capability Building:
Support internal SHE audits, inspections, and follow-up on corrective actions.
Identify SHE training requirements at the factory and support the delivery of SHE training programs for employees and contractors.
Promote SHE awareness and engagement across all levels of the site.
• Collaboration & Governance:
Support site crisis management, safety committees, and emergency preparedness activities.
Contribute to SHE meetings and forums at the site and cluster level as required.
Support accurate and timely SHE reporting systems (e.g., OS/EPR/SHE PAR) for the manufacturing site.
• Security Oversight:
Ensure effective supervision, deployment, and discipline of security personnel across all shifts
Monitor site security systems, compliance, and incident management, including reporting to SSHE and HR
Safeguard the security, health, and safety of employees, visitors, and site assets


Job Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• 3–6 years of SHE experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of local SHE legislations and international standards.
• Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and audit support.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence shop-floor behaviors.
