Senior Go Backend Engineer | Digikala Group

Job Description

We are a new, fast-growing startup within the Digikala Group ecosystem, building the next generation of Social Commerce powered by AI.
We are looking for a Senior Go Backend Engineer who is not just interested in writing code, but is excited about building products, solving hard problems, and shaping technical decisions.

What You'll Do
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Go (Golang)
• Design and implement reliable, high-performance APIs
• Build distributed and scalable services for products with a large user base
• Work closely with Product, Frontend, AI/ML, and DevOps teams
• Contribute to system architecture and make important technical decisions
• Identify performance and reliability bottlenecks and improve them
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code
• Improve engineering practices, development standards, and team processes
• Take ownership of features and services from design to production
• Explore and adopt new technologies when they can solve real problems better
• Help other engineers grow through technical collaboration and mentoring

What We're Looking For
• Strong professional experience in backend development with Go
• Solid experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Good understanding of micro services and distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of Go concurrency patterns and concepts
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Good understanding of Git and collaborative software development workflows
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• A strong sense of ownership and engineering responsibility

Nice to Have
• Experience with gRPC
• Experience with Redis or other caching systems
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Experience designing or operating high-traffic / distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and distributed tracing
• Experience working with AI/LLM/Agentic systems or a strong interest in the area
• Experience building side projects, open-source projects, or experimenting with new technologies
