Job Description

Experienced, Specialized, and Motivated Senior Geologist to serve as the primary technical driver for the exploration team, leading field operations and performing technical office analysis; possessing mastery of theoretical concepts and specialized software, readiness for site-based assignments and field missions, and the ability to integrate field observations with technical processing and analysis.

 

Responsibilities:

• Field Operations Leadership: Actively participating in and supervising prospecting operations, structural mapping, and geological field documentation in exploration areas.

• Sampling Management: Designing and executing systematic sampling (rock, soil, stream sediment), managing sample coding, chain of custody, and documentation.

• Exploration Prospectivity: Identifying and recording mineralization evidence, alteration zones, and economic anomalies.

• GIS & Data Analysis: Drafting and updating GIS layers in ArcGIS; assisting in satellite imagery processing for Remote Sensing (RS) and data integration.

• Technical Support: Organizing and performing quality control on field/laboratory data; preparing technical tables, statistical correlation charts, and preliminary models.

• Supervision: Overseeing trenching and drilling operations, conducting geological logging, and monitoring the execution of exploration programs.

• Technical Reporting: Preparing daily operational reports, progress documentation, and final exploration technical reports.

 

Specialized Skills:

• Expertise in field geological mapping, survey techniques, and GPS navigation.

• Proficiency in ArcGIS/ArcMap (Drafting, analysis, and data management).

• Working knowledge of Global Mapper and Remote Sensing software (e.g., ENVI).

• Mastery of prospecting and mineral exploration principles (Metallic/Non-metallic).

• Solid understanding of ore deposit types and mineralization systems (Preferred).

• Advanced technical writing skills for exploration reports.

• Strong competency in MS Office (Word/Excel) for data visualization and statistics.

 

General Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant, continuous experience in mineral prospecting and exploration projects.

• Readiness for frequent field missions and active presence at exploration sites (this role involves significant field work).

• Physical and mental fitness for working in remote environments and variable weather conditions.

• High attention to detail, strong discipline, and accountability.

• Ability to effectively balance field operations with technical office duties.

• A strong team player with excellent communication skills for project site environments.
