Senior Accountant

Job Description

● Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform a variety of simple accounting activities to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. Accounting Analysis: ● Assist senior accountants in collecting, processing, and reporting monthly financial data for assigned companies. ● Assist in preparing detailed schedules for the yearly audit and year-end financial statements required by Omya AG. ● Provide support in accounting and reporting for bank debt and interest accruals. Budgets: ● Provide support in budgets and forecast preparation (on an annual basis or as required), including both capital and operating forecasts. Financial Reporting: ● Maintain standard cost files and associated systems. ● Assist in the preparation of monthly cost reports including cost trends, overtime, and maintenance. ● Ensure inventory cycle counts are performed to verify the physical balance, and costs for inventory items are reflected on an appropriate basis. ● Track capital projects’ expenditures on a monthly and quarterly basis. ● Help prepare monthly inventory trends analysis, coordinating with plant controllers.
