Quality Control Implementation: Develop and implement quality control strategies, policies, and procedures for the R&D Unit in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Inspection and Testing: Perform thorough inspections and tests on raw materials, prototypes, and final products to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality control activities, including inspection results, test data, and non-conformities. Generate comprehensive reports highlighting any deviations and recommend corrective actions.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the R&D Unit and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance quality and efficiency.
Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to R&D personnel on quality control procedures, protocols, and best practices. Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the department.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and guidelines related to quality control in the R&D field. Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and participate in internal and external audits.
Quality Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality control measures and facilitate external audits by regulatory bodies or customers. Assist in the resolution of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D engineers, product managers, and production staff, to address quality-related issues, promote quality initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.
Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments to identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent quality issues during the R&D process.
Data Analysis: Analyze quality data, trends, and metrics to identify areas for improvement, evaluate the effectiveness of quality control measures, and propose data-driven solutions.
Requirements
Master's degree in a relevant Scientific or Engineering field (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry); PhD is an advantage.
At least 3 years of proven experience in quality control within a research and development environment.
Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA regulations).
