Job Description
A. Qualifications: - Has a strong background in FEED, detailed design and EPC projects and deliverables, as well as piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation and P&ID knowledge. - Has an ability to conceptualize plant layout. - Knowledgeable of codes, standards and regulatory guidelines that apply to the design disciplines. - Knowledgeable with designing industry related piping deliverables (skids, equipment general arrangements, isometrics, vessel sketches, pipe supports, etc). - Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently with little guidance or supervision. - Knowledgeable of the interface points between design disciplines. B. Responsibilities and Interactions: - To carry out piping design review utilizing Navisworks. - To checking of piping group drawings. - To provide guidance to the designers and drafting persons. - To carry out piping route study and design utilizing, AutoCAD, PDMS (if needed). - To interact with other disciplines such as process, civil and structural, mechanical instrumentation etc. - To attend project review meetings and to prepare progress reports.
Requirements
Education: - Degree in mechanical or chemical engineering Experience: - Minimum 8 years of experience in the refineries, oil and gas industry with experience on major capital projects and minimum 5 years of experience with AVEVA 3D modeling systems- (PDMS). Skills: - Minimum 5 years experience with 3D Plant Design Management System- PDMS - Experienced user Cad Design Software (Acad2008). - Experienced user Navisworks software. - Experienced user Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), Windows XP. - Strong interpersonal and communications skills are highly desirable c/w a good command of the English language.
