Job Description

- Technical support for Reservoir Navigation / Geosteering operations, to include pre/post well 2D interpretation/modelling, log production/QC where applicable; - Customer liaison/presentations on Reservoir Navigation / Geosteering operations where applicable; - Well site /office supervision of 2D Reservoir Navigation / Geosteering operations and liaison with MWD, Drilling and Customer personnel; - Post well closeouts where applicable. Training of junior Reservoir Navigation Supervisors; - Conducts all business activities in accordance with KAPCO HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values. - Participate in the planning and execution of formation evaluation programs to optimize project team objectives, particularly as a critical member of integrated project teams. - Openhole and LWD Log Evaluation ability, Editing and Interpretation of standard and special log data - QA/QC procedures for log data on operated wells - Management and preservation of petrophysical data - Perform petrophysical interpretation of operated and non-operated well data - Document and report petrophysical evaluations and results - In the event of borehole/logging problems, must be able to effectively contribute in decision making process in modifying the logging program to meet the logging objectives - Provide broad industry knowledge of calibration procedures, LWD tool responses, log analysis, QC and integration of data from multiple sources - Participate in Client’s daily operation meeting - Check log quality before submitting data to client - Follow up client’s request about data delivery - Be in touch with M/LWD operational engineers, receive daily reports, archive reports, and report to his/her direct manager. - Keep up with current and leading logging (LWD) technologies and recommend their applications where appropriate. - The overall objective is to optimize placement of the well-bore into the reservoir while remaining within the physical constraints of the drilling and completion program.

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related science required; graduate study in a specialized discipline of Geology, a related science or other extended special training is desirable; advanced degree preferred -7 years of experience, including at least seven (5) years as a specialist in their discipline; candidate must be highly regarded and accepted as an expert in their principle discipline by their peer group; experience as petrophysicist/statistician with knowledge of depositional processes and basin analysis -Must have thorough knowledge of petro-physical software’s (like Geolog) for the oil and gas industry and be current in established industry practices and the views of industry/academic thought leaders in the field -Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined; good interpersonal and communication skills; proficient technical writing skills -Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette -Strong communication skill -Good ability in negotiation. -Team working competency -Current Residence: Tehran -Ideal Age Range: 25-35 -MS Office skills -Completed/ Exempted from Military service -Motivated and eager to learning -Experienced in the well site operations of wire line logging and/or LWD is preferred Comprehensive knowledge of LWD principles and applications. -Proficient in open whole log analysis. -Demonstrated team interaction skills.
