Job Description
- Responding to incoming customer enquiries via telephone and e-mail, including pricing, availability, lead times, delivery dates etc. - Liaising with the wider business as and when required such as finance for account terms, marketing for promotional/marketing material, tech support for product suitability, planning for lead times and availability. - Conversing with customers and taking down requirements for shipments, helping find solutions to move their express freight needs - Finding freight solutions, dealing with suppliers, gaining quotes and information for different transport method - Customer Service, Building and maintaining relationships, with new and existing clients, by telephone and email. - Negotiating with new and existing clients and suppliers to get the best price. - Liaising with drivers and subcontractors throughout the globe. - Administration / computer input for shipments. - Accurate recording of shipment price, supplier cost and individual job information. - Responding to clients, quoting freight shipments, liaising with liners, carriers and drivers, negotiating rates and calculating transit times. - Monitoring shipments and informing customers of any changes.
Requirements
- Demonstrable Supply Chain experience covering at least 2-3 of the main end to end supply chain processes/functions such as Distribution, Planning, Purchasing, Transportation, Supplier Management, Manufacturing, Business Support. - Bachelor Degree in a relevant field, Master degree preferable. - Fluency in English (Advanced written and spoken, ability to sustain an active business correspondence) + additional languages desirable. - Minimum 3 years of experience in the Logistics Sector. - Expert knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). - Preferable experience working in international business, being familiar with cultural differences and implementing a friendly approach to personalized problem solving. - Demonstrated strong analytical and communication/team work skills. - Commitment to the team, willing to produce successful results efficiently, ready for challenges and mastering existing knowledge. - Develop relationships with clients and serve as an escalation point as needed.
