Job Description

Position Summary

The Head of MRP Planning & Control is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling the requirements for materials, spare parts, consumables, and services needed by the plant, based on the production plan, maintenance plans and work orders, Bills of Materials (BOMs), historical consumption, and warehouse inventory levels. Using the Maximo system, this position systematically tracks and controls the supply cycle for each requirement, from Material Request (MR) and Purchase Requisition (PR) through Request for Quotation (RFQ), approval, Purchase Order (PO), delivery, and warehouse receipt. The position also oversees the determination and review of Reorder Points (ROP), Order Quantities (ROQ), and required inventory levels.

The Head of MRP Planning & Control is also responsible for maintaining and updating the list of strategic and critical items, equipment master data, BOMs, and service codes as the basis for requirements planning and control. By monitoring aging, exceptions, open requirements, and key performance indicators, the position prepares and presents analytical and management reports to the Director of Technical & Engineering, Procurement/Purchasing Committee, CEO, and Board of Directors.

This position is responsible for planning, tracking, and controlling the supply process for requirements. It does not perform purchasing, receiving, issuing, or physical handling of materials; rather, it is responsible for coordinating and following up with requesting departments, Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance, Production, and other relevant functions until each requirement is fully resolved and closed.

Selected Key Responsibilities:

Material and Spare Parts Requirements Planning: Plan material and spare parts requirements based on the production plan, maintenance plans, BOMs, and inventory levels, including the determination of ROP and ROQ.

Supply Cycle Monitoring and Control: Monitor and follow up the supply cycle from MR and PR through RFQ, approval, PO, delivery, and warehouse receipt, ensuring timely closure of open requirements.

Strategic and Critical Spare Parts Management: Identify strategic and critical items, monitor long-lead-time materials, and ensure timely availability of requirements for production and planned shutdowns.

MRP and Maximo Data Analysis: Analyze inventory, consumption, aging, overdue orders, BOMs, and equipment master data in Maximo and prepare management reports.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with Technical, Production, Warehouse, Procurement, and Finance departments and monitor key supply chain KPIs, SLAs, overdue orders, and material shortages.
