
Job Description
Market Research and Pricing Analysts (MRPA) uses experimental methods and tools (surveys, focus groups and interviews) to gather data for qualitative and quantitative research to investigate market trends and dynamics. These data are the basis for the market segmentation, targeting and positioning and will act as the foundation stone for the sales process. MRPA is required to monitor market change and competitors to produce the basis for the pricing policy for the portfolio of the products in the telecom, payment and banking sector. He/she is requited to presents the findings through charts, graphs, and other visual means to the executives. This role may include (but is not limited) the following task list - Determine who will buy products and at what price. - Advise on pricing strategies. - Gather statistical data on competitors. - Examine prices, methods of marketing, and sales. - Analyze data on past market data to predict future pricing policy. - Obtain data to design surveys and assess consumer preferences. - Devise focus group discussions, mail responses. - Provide companies with vital information to help them make decisions on the promotion, distribution, and design of products or services. - Increase public demand for products. - Help develop advertising brochures and product promotions. - Conduct opinion research to determine public attitudes on a variety of issues. - Analyze Consumer Demographics, Preferences, Needs, and Buying Habits - Analyze Data to Draw Both Qualitative and Quantitative Conclusions - Build Solid and Strategic Relationships With Business Leaders and Clients - Convert Findings Into Written Reports - Design Research Methodology - Familiar with Social Media, Online, and Mobile Research Techniques - Forecast Future Product and Buying Trends - Gather Consumer, Competitor, and Market Condition Data
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following - marketing, market research, statistics, telecom, social sciences, business administration, or communications. - MBA, or advanced education, is not required, but will be an asset. - Strong math and analytical skills are essential for market research analysts. - MRPA should have a strong understanding of the industry, and be comfortable speaking in front of strangers and presenting results to internal team members and management. - 3-5 year of work experience in Telecom, Banking, Payment
