Job Description
Turquoise Partners is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to take the role of Investment Research Manager. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as significant hands-on experience in new platform investments, add-on investments, and related financings. Knowledge of Iran’s investment climate is a requirement and knowledge of international investment climate is highly desirable. Fluency in English is a Must. The role will entail the following: • Taking a lead role in processing new investment opportunities, ranging from market assessment, to competitive positioning, and deal structuring, to pitching deals internally to Turquoise’s senior team; • Leading diligence efforts on pursued deals, including business diligence, risk analysis, and managing external advisors; • Building robust, flexible financial models to support deal structuring efforts; • Performing analysis to support transaction negotiations; • Developing deal team members in advanced modeling and other aspects of deal processing; and •Write concise and detailed reports (Farsi and English) on analysed companies • Supporting debt and equity fundraising processes. Starting date: immediately Working hours: 9.30 - 18:30 Sunday to Thursday Compensation: competitive salary + benefits + annual performance-based bonus
Requirements
Education: • A strong analytical degree from a reputable university, degree preferably in Finance/Accounting/Economics Skills & Experiences: • At least 5 years of full time experience in a related field, preferably in investment banking, asset management, brokerage, equity research, strategic/management consulting firm • Fluency in English (writing and speaking) • Significant experience in managing deal processes; • Superior financial modeling skills, comfort with accounting and very analytical; • Exceptional communication and people skills; • Highly entrepreneurial, passion for knowledge, drive for excellence, business savvy, creative, high integrity, flexible, professional maturity; • Proven track record of leadership skills, and a strong desire to work closely with entrepreneurs; • Specialty manufacturing or asset-intensive business services experience preferred; • Ability to write reports in English and Farsi in a concise and professional manner is a must. • Knowledge/experience of the Tehran Stock Exchange in desirable; and • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel. Other Desirable Skills/Qualifications: • Relevant professional qualifications either from Iran or internationally, e.g. CFA, ACCA, IMC, Iranian Tier 2 and Tier 1 market analysis certificate. • Knowledge of global financial markets and products.
