Linde, and Delvar Afzar Industrial Gases Company has established a new Joint Venture named Linde Delvar Afzar Gas Company PJSC (LDAG) to be the leading supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases in Iran. LDAG aims to build a competent and efficient organization having the required skills to boost the profitable and sustainable growth.
Based in our JV offices in Tehran and reporting directly to the local Managing Director, we are looking for a Head of Sales to lead and develop the sales activities of Linde Delvar Afzar Gas Company (LDAG) in Iran. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and significantly growing the local Industrial, Medical and Specialty Gases business. This will include the scoping of the gases market in terms of size, customers, competitors, capabilities required and opportunities. Under the direction of the Managing Director, and working closely with the cross functional teams within the JV partner, Cluster Middle East and RME, the Head of Sales will be responsible for strategy implementation leading to profitable, sustainable sales growth in line with the business plan.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Planning and leading all national sales activities in consistency with the JV Board approved short-term targets and mid-term objectives.
- Recruiting, motivating, developing and supporting a national sales force in a way that leads to highest possible sales.
- Implementing pricing strategies, within an authorized price policy frame, to deliver profitable growth at agreed percentage margins.
- Developing and maintaining important local customer contacts to achieve long-term profitable relationships.
The right incumbent should meet the following criteria:
- BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field.
- Successful previous experience as a country sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to organize, lead, motivate and coach subordinate staff to ensure achievement of targeted sales results
- Having knowledge and experience about the demands of the local gas industry to do appropriate forecasts. Have a general knowledge about products, applications and service offered to customers.
- Have a good knowledge of marketing and sales.
- Ensure integrity, compliance and safety procedures are followed by the Sales Team that protect the interests of LDAG and ensure 100% compliance with all local/international laws including sanctions that may remain in place.
