Green Building Services_Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Objective: Mechanical engineers for using engineering principles to provide efficient solutions to the development of products and designs, which can range from small component designs to extremely large plants and building services based on the Green Building Designs concepts Main responsibilities : 1- Develop a project specification and Bill of Quantities often including those from other engineering disciplines; 2- Develop test and evaluate theoretical designs 3- Make sure that the designs can be made again reliably and also that it will perform consistently in specified operating environments; 4- Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques; 5- Produce details of specifications and outline designs; 6- Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design; 7- Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints; 8- Work with other professionals, within and outside the engineering specialism. 9- Ensure that all technical information obtained is accurate and contains all essential data 10- Ensure all codes and references used follow agreed conventions 11- Work is completed with agreed schedule 12- Prepare cooling load calculation 13- Running energy simulation programs 14- Prepare piping designs 15- Assist in writing specifications and BOQs 16- Organize Draughtsman work 17- Assist in issuing bids to suppliers and contractors 18- Assist in bid analysis 19- Assist in estimating operating cost 20- Assist in Engineering reviews and site supervision 21- Assist in commissioning 22- Assist in monitoring actual operational data 23- Generate minutes of meeting 24- Preparing proposals 25- Evaluate tenders and follow up with tender queries Reporting to : Green Building Servicves Manager Subordinates : Design Team ( Mechanical, Electrical & Control Engineers) Other interactions : Externally with Customers & Internally with Draughtsman Number required : 3 Duration : Permenant Position Desired start date : Immediate - 6 months Probation : 6 months Working hours : 8:00 AM to 6:00PM ( With 1 hour Lunch) / Sunday to Thuraday Travel requirements : GCC travel in few cases only Gross monthly base salary : $2,857 - $7,350 ( Based on years of experience) Commission / Bonus : Yearly Performance Bonus Other Benefits : Medical & Life Insurance
